Halwa Recipe
This Roasted Gram Halwa is a delicious, nutritious dessert made with roasted gram (chana dal), ghee, and a few simple ingredients. It’s rich in flavor, creamy, and packed with protein and fiber – perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Roasted Gram (Pottukadalai)
- 1/2 cup Ghee
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
- A pinch of Saffron (optional)
- Chopped Nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios)
Instructions:
- Roast the Gram: Dry roast the gram for 5 minutes until golden. Cool and grind it coarsely.
- Cook the Halwa: Heat ghee, add the ground gram, and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add sugar, milk, and cook until thick.
- Add Flavors: Stir in cardamom powder, saffron, and chopped nuts. Mix well.
- Serve: Serve warm, garnished with more nuts and saffron.
