Seasons of Change and Growth – Kaadu Organics Farm Journey (May to September 2025)
From the sun-soaked plains of Tirunelveli to the misty hills of Kodaikanal, the past few months have been a season of patience, hard work, and progress for Kaadu Organics. Between May and September 2025, our farms faced challenges, celebrated harvests, and prepared for a greener future. Our journey reflects the spirit of organic farming in India, where care, resilience, and sustainability go hand in hand.
Tirunelveli Farm – Nurturing Through Challenges
The May heat arrived early this year, bringing one of the driest spells we’ve experienced. With limited water, some activities had to pause — pruning coconut and fruit trees was delayed, and we decided not to plant red chillies this season. Yet, our commitment to nurturing the soil never wavered.
We focused on complete weeding around the coconut trees, helping them absorb nutrients and stay strong through the heat.
Then came July 5th, a moment of joy — our coconut harvest. Seeing the fresh coconuts glisten under the sun was a reminder that patience always bears fruit.


In September, we took a major step toward strengthening our farm’s future by installing a new borewell that significantly increased the water level. With renewed hope and resources, we’re preparing to replant red chillies and introduce new crops soon. The land feels alive again, and so do we.

Kodaikanal Farm – Building, Growing, and Harvesting
High up in the cool hills, our Kodaikanal farm has been buzzing with steady progress. Regular weeding and pruning ensured that every plant thrives in the fresh mountain air.
A big part of this season was dedicated to construction work, which is now almost complete. Painters from Vallioor brought our signature Kaadu yellow to life, brightening the space. Only a few final touches remain — the fire pit, pathway, benches, and outer lawn — soon ready for gatherings and peaceful evenings.

Amid the work, we reached a beautiful milestone — our first coffee harvest. The deep red coffee fruits, handpicked with care, marked a proud moment for Kaadu Organics. In July, we also had the joy of hosting close friends on the farm, sharing laughter, stories, and warm cups of freshly brewed coffee amidst the hills.

Nerumalai Farm – Waiting for the Right Season
In Nerumalai, the wait continues. Through July, water scarcity limited our farming activities, but our team stayed consistent with basic weeding and land care. The soil rests now, ready to awaken when the rains bless the land again.
A Season of Hope
The journey from May to September was not just about farming — it was about resilience, care, and community. Every small step, from clearing weeds to painting walls, brought us closer to our vision of sustainable farming rooted in nature and tradition.
As we move into the next season, the farms of Kaadu Organics stand renewed, nourished by hard work, touched by hope, and ready for a vibrant new cycle of growth.
