Ingredients

  • 1 cup organic red kidney beans (red rajma), soaked overnight
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • Panneer
  • 2–3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • 2–3 tbsp bread crumbs (for binding)
  • Oil for shallow frying
  • Crispy nippat papdi and dahi pudina chutney, for serving

How to Prepare

  1. Cook the Rajma: Drain soaked red kidney beans and cook until soft in a pressure cooker or instant pot. Mash slightly and set aside.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a bowl, combine mashed rajma, onions, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin, salt, coriander, and bread crumbs. Mix until it forms a firm mixture.
  3. Shape the Kebabs: Take small portions and shape them into bite-sized patties or cocktail kebabs.
  4. Cook: Heat oil in a pan. Shallow fry the kebabs on medium heat until golden brown and crisp on both sides.
  5. Serve: Arrange on crispy nippat papdi and drizzle with cool dahi pudina chutney. Garnish with fresh coriander. Enjoy!
