Ragi Kanji / Raji Java with Veggies & Spices

A hearty and nourishing porridge / ragi java made with Kaadu Organics Ragi , perfect for a healthy start or a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
  • Ragi Flour
  • Mixed Vegetables (chopped – carrot, beans, peas, etc.)
  • A pinch of Black Pepper (crushed)
  • A pinch of White Pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1½ cups Water

Ragi kanji / Ragi java Preparation:

  1. Saute the Veggies
    Heat a pan and add butter. Once melted, add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add the chopped vegetables.
  2. Prepare the Ragi Mixture
    In a bowl, mix Kaadu Organics Ragi Flour with water to make a smooth, lump-free paste.
  3. Cook the Kanji
    Pour the ragi mixture into the pan with the vegetables. Stir continuously to prevent lumps. Add salt, black pepper, and white pepper. Let it cook on low flame for 5–7 minutes until it thickens to a smooth porridge.
  4. Serve Hot
    Ragi java is ready to serve. Enjoy warm for breakfast or as a light, nutritious meal.
