Healthy Kullakar Rice Halwa – Traditional Sweet with Rice & Jaggery

Steps to make sweet with rice

  1. Roast & Grind
    Dry roast the Kullakar rice and split black urad dal separately until aromatic. Let them cool, then grind together into a fine powder.
  2. Make the Base
    In a pan, gradually mix the rice-dal powder with water, stirring to avoid lumps.
  3. Cook with Jaggery
    Cook the mixture on medium flame. Add jaggery powder and stir continuously.
  4. Stir to Halwa Consistency
    Keep stirring until it thickens into a halwa consistency – smooth, shiny, and aromatic.
  5. Finish & Serve
    Fry cashews in ghee and mix into the halwa. Serve warm as a nourishing sweet with rice – perfect for festive occasions or guilt-free indulgence.
