Ingredients
- 1 cup Kullakar Rice
- ½ cup Urad Dal (Black Split)
- 1 cup Jaggery Powder (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- Cashews – a handful
Steps to make sweet with rice
- Roast & Grind
Dry roast the Kullakar rice and split black urad dal separately until aromatic. Let them cool, then grind together into a fine powder. - Make the Base
In a pan, gradually mix the rice-dal powder with water, stirring to avoid lumps. - Cook with Jaggery
Cook the mixture on medium flame. Add jaggery powder and stir continuously. - Stir to Halwa Consistency
Keep stirring until it thickens into a halwa consistency – smooth, shiny, and aromatic. - Finish & Serve
Fry cashews in ghee and mix into the halwa. Serve warm as a nourishing sweet with rice – perfect for festive occasions or guilt-free indulgence.
